Psychology of Ulterior Motives
What situations or traits lead people to believe someone has ulterior motives? How do people act when they think someone has an ulterior motive? How frequently do people perceive ulterior motives?
Motivations for Political Engagement
What situations or traits lead people to favor censorship or political violence? What motivates people to engage in nonviolent versus violent protest, and what kinds of protest are most effective at producing social change?
What situations and traits lead people to protect their reputations? What are people willing to do to protect reputation?
What can people do to be happier? We are exploring the effects of belongingness and affectual meditation.
